BushSnake, Animation, 3:13
BushSnake is a 2D paper cut-out animation shot entirely under camera. The project is finished production and awaiting an original score by Academy Award nominated composer Luigi Allemano and final mix at the National Film Board of Canada. The work in progress can be viewed here.
Playful and morbid, BushSnake is an environmental tale with themes of revenge, resiliency, loss, and friendship. Bushsnake also targets the uncomfortable relationship between human and reptile. The snake is a loaded symbol linked to temptation, sexuality, and evil. These characteristics make the snake an unlikely champion
Produced with the assistance of the National Film Board of Canada - Filmmaker's Assistance Program, Arts Nova Scotia, and the Helen Hill Joy Award.
