Playful and morbid, Bushsnake is an environmental tale with themes of revenge, resiliency, loss, and friendship. Bushsnake also targets the uncomfortable relationship between human and reptile. The snake is a loaded symbol linked to temptation, sexuality, and evil. These characteristics make the snake an unlikely champion

Bushsnake is a 2D paper cut-out animation shot entirely under camera. The project's original score was created and performed by Academy Award nominated composer Luigi Allemano. Post-production at the National Film Board of Canada. The animation can viewed here. Please be in touch for password.
