Ida (2010), Animation, 3:11

In this hand drawn animation, Ida shares with her granddaughter a short tale of ingenuity and personal triumph in extreme circumstances. A portrait emerges of the elderly woman as a bold and resourceful Holocaust survivor, while both the viewer and granddaughter are left to imagine feathers, blood and the ghetto.
